Overview of Position
Recruitment and Scheduling
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, scheduling, and assisting where needed to organize the office for smooth daily operations. The Staffing Coordinator will recruit, screen, interview and make hiring recommendations by using creative sourcing methods. The Staffing Coordinator also organizes and prepares work schedules for caregivers to ensure the appropriate amount of caregivers are available for each work shift and ensure that a short notice caregiver bench is maintained daily.
Additionally, the Staffing Coordinator provides support to the office staff, handles phone calls, daily calendaring, filing and assisting where needed. This role will work with management, clients and caregivers, making this an important role within the agency.
The Staffing Coordinator creates and maintains daily staffing reports, which include verifying caregivers' work hours, requested time off, as well as open caregiver assignments. Reporting responsibilities also include verifying and reconciling caregiver work hours with the payroll department on a routine basis to ensure payroll is disbursed accurately.
Along with recruitment of caregivers, scheduling and work schedules, the staffing coordinator will assist with human resources including assisting in the orientation of new caregivers, explaining the requirements of caregiver assignments, work shifts and hours, as well as training new caregivers on systems or programs used to report work hours while on assignment.
